They serve a broad range of biopharmaceutical manufacturers and diagnostic companies engaged in the discovery and screening of high-value ion channel and transporter targets.
They have recently created a new position for an accomplished business development executive to lead their efforts in introducing an important product line extension.
The Director, Business Development will lead the introduction of peptide discovery technologies. This position will be responsible for the end-to-end management of out-licensing their peptide discovery platform. The ideal candidate has experience in client-facing business development for peptide discovery technologies, a broad network of contacts in the industry, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work proactively and independently. Responsibilities include:
- Facilitate licensing transactions, from initial outreach through deal execution and client relationship management
- Coordinate CDAs, term sheets, license agreements, and other licensing transaction documents
- Source strategic collaboration opportunities through independent, company-specific research and attend industry partnering meetings/scientific conferences to establish commercial leads (same-store & deNovo partners)
- Establish rapport with internal stakeholders to develop depth of knowledge of the technology platform as well as adopting the core corporate objectives & goals
- Stay up to date with the latest science and literature, industry events and competitive landscape relating to peptide technologies
- Assist R&D team in crafting messaging and related materials for partnering presentations as required
