HealthCare Recruiters International (HCRI) is seeking a full-time Associate Mental Health Counselor / Associate Therapist (AMFT, APCC, ASW) working toward LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in California, to join a highly structured and well-supported outpatient forensic mental health program based in Hayward. This is a permanent, on-site role offering formal training in forensic work with individuals involved in California’s post-sentencing system.

Mental Health Counselor – AMFT, APCC, ASW Responsibilities:

Provide clinical assessment and treatment of sex offenders

Provide clinical services for non-offending family members

Complete all required program documentation and case management

Represent the agency professionally in the community as needed

Attend agency clinical meetings, staff meetings, and workshops
-
Participate in ongoing trainings including CASOMB-required coursework
-
Become CASOMB Apprentice Level within 2 weeks of hire (support provided)

Deliver court testimony if required

Complete 90-day structured onboarding and training plan

Work 5 days per week (Monday–Friday), 40 hours/week, on-site

Collaborate with a supportive forensic team dedicated to long-term clinical growth
Requirements:

Master’s Degree in Counseling, Social Work, or related field

Active BBS registration as AMFT, APCC, or ASW (required)

Ability to provide compassionate, non-judgmental behavioral health services

Bilingual Spanish highly preferred (additional bonus available)

Must be able to work on-site in Hayward
Compensation & Benefits:

$70K–$85K base salary depending on experience

$5,000 in-state relocation bonus

$30,000 in loan forgiveness eligibility

$2,500 bonus + exam fee reimbursement upon licensure
