Director of Admissions & Business Development (Addiction Treatment)

A growing, multi-site addiction treatment and behavioral health provider is seeking a revenue-driven leader to take admissions, referrals, and census growth to the next level across 15 locations.
This is a high-impact, build-and-scale role with direct access to ownership and significant upside tied to performance.
The Opportunity
You’ll lead admissions and growth strategy across detox, residential, and outpatient programs—owning census growth, expanding referral pipelines, and improving conversion performance.
This role oversees a team of 8 admissions and 2 marketing professionals and will play a key role in strengthening payer mix, including increased commercial volume.
What You’ll Do
- Drive census growth across multiple addiction treatment programs
- Build and expand referral networks (legal system, digital channels, hospitals, community partners)
- Improve admissions processes, call handling, and conversion rates
- Lead and develop the admissions and marketing team
- Track KPIs (calls → admits → census, referral performance, cost per admit)
- Partner with leadership to align growth with operational capacity
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in addiction treatment or behavioral health (strongly preferred)
- Proven track record of growing census and referral pipelines
- Background in admissions, outreach, or business development
- Hands-on leader who can build, execute, and drive accountability
- Experience in a multi-site or scaling environment preferred
Compensation
- Base salary around $150K (DOE)
- Performance-based bonus + profit share
- Realistic earnings $200K–$300K+
