Full-Time | $47,840–$52,000/year ($23–$25/hr)
A growing pediatric therapy program is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to support early-intervention services for children ages 2–7 with autism and developmental delays. This role is ideal for PTAs who love play-based therapy, collaboration, and helping young children build motor skills in a supportive, multidisciplinary setting.
Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and small-group pediatric PT sessions under the supervision of a licensed PT
- Assist with evaluations, re-evaluations, and treatment planning
- Manage a pediatric caseload and maintain daily progress notes
- Collaborate with PTs, OTs, BCBAs, SLPs, and early childhood staff
- Participating in staff meetings, parent communication, and training as needed
- Support program development and maintain a safe, engaging therapy environment
Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) Qualifications
- Active Missouri PTA license (required)
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- 1–2 years of pediatric experience preferred
- Passion for working with young children
- Team-oriented, enthusiastic, and professional
- Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, and lift to 25 lbs. during sessions
- CPR certification or the ability to obtain
