Healthcare Recruiters is seeking an experienced and visionary RN Director of Practical Nursing to lead and manage our client’s Practical Nursing Program at their technical college in Philadelphia, PA. Full-time, onsite.
Relocatable candidates considered if can move within a month or less and can obtain PA licensure.
This role is responsible for overseeing all nursing program operations, fostering faculty success, and driving quality outcomes for students. The Director will serve as a key leader, mentor, and liaison between the college, faculty, students, and regulatory agencies. The ideal candidate will be a strong advocate for nursing education, with a proven track record in program administration, curriculum oversight, and faculty development.
Some of the Duties/Responsibilities: The Director is accountable for all aspects of the Practical Nursing Program.
- Take responsibility for maintaining the quality of the Practical Nursing Programs.
- Oversee program budgets, resource allocation, and operational planning.
- Provide input and oversee the Practical Nursing Program budget.
- Serve as the Practical Nursing Program liaison in all concerns related to the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.
- With input from program faculty and other college personnel, prepare self-studies, responses to deficiencies, and annual reports, as necessary.
- Establish clinical contracts and plan clinical rotations.
- Orient all new members of the nursing faculty and staff and assist them throughout the first year of employment as they prepare and teach their assigned courses.
- Schedule classes for each semester.
- Make all teaching assignments each semester.
- Work with faculty to ensure necessary resources for the classroom and laboratory are current and available when needed to support all learning experiences.
- Attend continuing education workshops and seminars.
- Teach a minimum course load at least one semester a year.
Experience/Education Requirements:
- Graduate from an approved school of professional nursing.
- Currently registered as a professional nurse in PA.
- Master’s Degree in Nursing (MSN)
- Two years’ experience in clinical and educational nursing practice.
- One to two years’ experience as a nursing Director.
- Experience in nursing instruction/education, educational administration, faculty and program oversight preferably in a Practical Nursing Program is mandatory.
- Evidence of ability to provide leadership in nursing practice and nursing education.
